My Path to My Zenful Life
Zen means “calm and restful” – it’s the serenity and confidence you achieve when you let go of what’s holding you back so that you can create a brand new reality.
My path to a Zenful Life:
I am a lover of learning and knowledge. I have been interested in health and wellness from a young age. Before I became an Integrative Health Practitioner, I was (and still am) an entrepreneur, wife and mother of three teenagers.
After about 20 years in business, I decided to take my passion in wellness to the next level and I obtained multiple health and wellness certifications. These include an Integrative Health Practitioner certification (Level 1 and 2), a Holistic Health Coach certification, a 230 hour yoga teacher training, a Yoga Calm® teacher certification in addition to a gut health training and a mindfulness/meditation training. Combining all of my knowledge and passion, I founded Zenful Life Coaching as a way of changing lives using a powerful combination of integrative health, yoga and health coaching.
What started out as a strong interest and possible career change for me has resulted in an entirely new mindset and a way of happier and healthier living in my mind, body and spirit.
I find myself jumping out of bed in the morning excited to start my day. Whether it is a weekend of fun social activities or a weekday of work, I am excited, motivated and invigorated by life.
This has taken A LOT of work on my part: cleaning up my mindset, my nutrition, moving my body each day and making sure my self-care is number one. These changes did not occur overnight, I’ve been on this journey for the past five years.
I have learned how to tune in to myself. I have learned to go after what I want. I have learned to live in the present. This was tough for me. But I am truly so much happier in the here and now savoring the moments.
I make time for my soul regularly, whether it is being outside in nature, hiking or traveling. I have a strong sense for what I need to feel at peace.
I have pushed myself outside of my box over and over again. Whether it’s speaking, dancing, going to events where I don’t know anyone or just doing things that make me uncomfortable, I have come to enjoy and grow in the discomfort.
Starting the podcast with my colleague, the Art of Living Well Podcast, has been one of the most fun and challenging projects I have done in the last few years. I LOVE IT! It is so exciting for me to say that about something I do each day.
Additionally, seeing private clients through my business Zenful Life Coaching has been so rewarding. I love coaching and educating women and teens on how to implement sustainable, healthy habits into their lifestyle to create a happier and healthier life, each on their own journey to the art of living well.
